  • We read the reviews and decided to go for ourselves interesting place that had some different plants and trees. We had a nice walk around the gardens then did a long walk around the river to the large...  more »
  • A parc/garden with rare plants arves and extinction. And beautiful for floor reading the explanations. We had lots to attend a Conference talking about arves which no longer exist and are replanted it. Worth spending an afternoon.

  • Great place to have a drink after a walk in Bordeaux jardin botanique. While we found the service was lacking in terms of quick turn around (on a Sunday though) we felt it is a great place for much deserve respite from the summer heat.
  • Little but awesome music events!
  • Staff smiling and friendly but... Catastrophic service: incorrect orders, huge expectation. And especially the prices: too high given the framework and what there is in the plate. Example a steak medium rare at 24 euros to have ultimately a steak fries with soft fat and barely lukewarm fries... Brief to avoid except for the music

  • Great place for concerts of quality. Nice staff. Map of the restaurant within the reach of all budgets. Good value for money.

  • Disappointing facilities, comfortable chairs, restaurant dark inside and quite noisy. For good eaters, the portions are very righteous and somewhat expensive value. In short to avoid!

Where to stay in Bordeaux

Most hotels in Bordeaux sit conveniently located a stone's throw away from the train station. Look to Quinconces Square and Gambetta Square for high-end hotels. Those who prefer more budget-friendly accommodations may want to seek out a youth hostel--a relatively recent addition to the city. To secure a spot here, make sure to book ahead of time. In addition to hotels and hostels, choose from guest rooms in a typical Bordeaux house, or a family-friendly beachside campsite.
