Where to stay in Bordeaux

Most hotels in Bordeaux sit conveniently located a stone's throw away from the train station. Look to Quinconces Square and Gambetta Square for high-end hotels. Those who prefer more budget-friendly accommodations may want to seek out a youth hostel--a relatively recent addition to the city. To secure a spot here, make sure to book ahead of time. In addition to hotels and hostels, choose from guest rooms in a typical Bordeaux house, or a family-friendly beachside campsite.

  • Interesting church where Goya's funeral took place.
  • Compared to other cathedrals, this one is more on a peaceful side! You will enjoy a tranquil organ plays. We loved to sit there and just reflect for a while.
  • A must see for every tourist, best early in the morning in the weekends (to take pictures)
  • Since 1975, Rotalis travel offers guided bike tours in the Loire Valley. The bike course Rotalis passes Dame de Cunault also of l'Eglise Notre prieurale. :-)

  • Majesty. That's the word that comes instinctively to mind when entering this "simple" Church. I've never been as surprised by what was a place and the arts that it housed. Really a beautiful place.
