  • Very clever use of a from architectural heritage of the 2nd World War the submarine base is a place of temporary exhibitions. The plan architectural it is very interesting to see, beautiful volumes, of beautiful views especially at the entrance where you can see the water. According to exhibitions rendering is more or less happy but it's a place to go at least once, unless you're claustrophobic because it can be stuffy and a bit oppressive.

  • Do exhibitions... Although the building is impressive. I went there during the heritage days, no explanation on the building itself only on the exhibition.

  • The base was unfortunately closed but we could see the different cells outside the base, probably a good visit when the site is open.

  • Amazing building from the nazi legacy in Bordeaux. Now they offer expositions and concerts. Keep an eye for specific activities such as visiting often closed spaces inside.
  • You can feel the history inside
  • Base historique
  • Must see
  • Place from a unique charm. Born as Regia Marina submarine naval base at Bordeaux, after the second world war it was used as a cultural space hosting temporary exhibitions. Book in advance of your visit, otherwise you risk not seeing the installations. In this case it is still permitted the visit by some locals.
