  • The visit of the Citadel is really the detour. It's a real small village within a gigantic forteresseavec great reinforcement of bridge of walls, moats really impressive! We enjoyed a beautiful view on the estuary also.

  • A beautiful Citadel well-appointed for the walk. It was the largest of three buildings, which controlled naval traffic on the Gironde to protect Bordeaux against enemy attacks. Well restored.

  • We were the only guests in the hotel a weekend of 11 November. Even when warm clean room that smelled good but the common parts felt moissi. Good location to visit the Citadel of Blaye.
