  • I had planned to make more visits of monuments or castles in the region of Blaye, but ultimately, I spent all the afternoon in the Citadel, to walk the streets along the estuary and the Islands from the top of the ramparts. I had a good time in the Museum, a former prison, where I learned a lot of things on the estuary of the Gironde. I went to see the exhibition at the convent of the Minimes which the cloister has been well restored. I guess that other activities are offered in the summer. The Citadel is worth a visit.

  • Very nice view of the estuary of the Gironde. Quiet, serene, green framework conducive to the ride.
