  • Ordinary church without cachet, inside clutter, loaded, unwelcoming. A visit

  • The Church of our Lady of Bergerac was built in the 19th century. Neo-Gothic style, she is wearing a 80 meters high Bell Tower whose first floor opens onto the nave by playing the role of tribune, the nave is flanked by two narrow aisles, a transept above the apse with three chapels and ambulatory. In the chapel West is facing a huge tapestry of Aubusson weapons of Bergerac. The building is a large, classified a historic monument in 2002, at the city center, place of Tassigny Lattre, well located by its shops nearby.

  • Certainly you are not in the Romanesque or Gothic style because here you are in the fief protestant of the Dordogne. The Catholic Perigueux and Bergerac the Protestant. But it's a beautiful church. To see its Tapestry to arms of bergerac and his masterpiece the organ.

  • I have to say that it is the only thing that justifies leaving the road to visit Bergerac. Yes, the town is cute, but the area is littered with much more charming villages with much more to see. Despite this, the Cathedral is beautiful and enormous, restored by outside and very nice on the inside with a curious contrast of colors in its stones.
