  • Very beautiful village or we stopped by chance on our journey. Very pretty village which is worth to stop in the parking lot of the bottom and the streets of the village and go up to the Castle, which unfortunately was closed cause out of season. May that me allows me to make beautiful pictures

  • Belcastel Castle gives its name to the village that surrounds it. The village is beautiful! but they are nothing more than a handful of houses arranged in the slope of a hill or low mountains, with the Castle dominating the landscape, a beautiful bridge that helps to cross the river which passes through the Valley and a small church. As we were in winter the castle was closed and we could only see it on the outside, but in season you can visit. The Tourism Office also was closed the day we went, but there is also information about several hiking trails that can be made by the site, which is surrounded by the greenery of the beautiful Woods of Aveyron. The village is beautiful, like a postcard. It is very quiet and there aren't many places where to eat. We went from Rodez in a car and did well to get something for lunch, because the offer was low (there were 2 places to eat, only). In winter there is no public transport to get from Rodez, but if you are there I recommend you to go and see this beautiful place. The Castle and the village are medieval and retain that particular charm of the thing at the time.

  • Very nice restoration. There are beautiful armor and very nice furniture. It's a nice tour out of time. And what kind of work to restore the ruin that it was. Small flat, the tables of the current owner who had nothing to do, in our view.

  • A beautiful village and lovely place to visit. Bring a picnic or at least a coffee or soda and have a drink in the gardens, then plan to take some time to soak in the history of this place. There is an amazing amount of variety in the displays of armor, and you'll even see a knight on horseback. Don't miss the medieval toilet...
  • Great history of the town gets clear during the tour in the castle.
  • Great views. Very steep walk up/down the town.
  • Worth every step
  • Really nice castle in the middle of an incredible village... The castle itself had been reconstructed by particulars but preserving it's essence.
