  • Village perched on a rocky spur, Bécherel see by far, thanks in particular to the Bell Tower of its church, which dominates the surrounding plain. The village itself is nice and especially is characterized by the presence of many bookstores of second-hand books. The surrounding countryside of ready to lovely walks.

  • After Redu and Fontenoy jousting, I breaks with my insatiable greed of book at Bécherel. Delight of the Palace, delicacy of sense, I feel transported elsewhere. The gardens shaded leaves room to silence and meditation a good book in the hands.

  • Of course the charm of the streets, walls, the Church of our Lady, is preserved. The view remains in the distance still beautiful. But bookstores seemed well deserted and there was very little world in this end of September 2016. There was a sadness that floated in the windy streets yet we were a Saturday and there was the Sun. Even if today we read less, the charm of old books still exists yet. Go to Bécherel will not be disappointed by the treasures it contains.
