  • It's a narrow road uphill but the view at the top makes the drive worthwhile. A limited number of excellent - if a little pricey - wines. Good reds and a very pleasant muscat.  more »
  • In addition to a very friendly, we had a time very nice during the tasting of a selection of wines and muscat of the field. This area is one of the best wines I have ever tasted, and particularly their Muscat and their grenache!

  • 15 years we just buy our muscat at the Durban area and we will continue as long as it is as good. The best of Beaumes de Venice, after in enjoying others! If there is special cuvée 2007, buy in without hesitation. The road to get there is superb and the view over the beautiful Monrtmirail lace. We do not get tired

  • Yes, all of the 5 star reviews are legit! When it comes to muscat Domaine Durban cannot be beat. Sweet or dry these muscat wines are hands down the best of A.O.C. Beaumes de Venise. Many of the vineyards are located in a limestone area of Beaumes and you can taste it in the wines. Delicious! But wait there's more, did I mention the ridicuously low prices, it's almost absurd. For a hundred plus euros you can buy a great mixed case (12 bottles) of sweet and dry muscat white wine. Unbelievable! Truth be told I'm not a huge fan of Beaumes de Venise red wines in general and not surprisingly the reds at Durban have never caught my attention in the same manner as the whites. And if the amazing wines alone aren't enough to get your attention, I haven't even mentioned the professional staff or the wonderful setting of the domaine. It's beautiful, just go! And if you want to try another good muscat producer in Beaumes check out Domaine Coyeux. Located in an even more stunning setting than Domaine Durban, with much more iron in the soil. You can really taste the difference and see it in the vineyards. Coyeux was recently bought and sold and the new owners are working hard to raise the quality and it shows. My personal favorite is an off dry rosé they produce. It's unique and extremely well crafted. Great for apero time, I found it to pair very well with smoked salmon. But beware prices are definitely higher but not unreasonable.
  • Probably the most beautiful winery in the area. Spectacular views.
  • Known for their dessert wine, they also make very good table wines at a reasonable price. A bit hard to find but worth the trip!
  • Arrived mid afternoon in late October, 2010. The only guests, the three of us were well looked after by the only person on site. We sat on the wall, drank wine, ate bread and cheese and watched the shadows move along the hillsides.
  • A Domaine in outstanding scenery: nestled in the hills above Beaumes de Venise with a great view of Mt Ventoux. The muscat there is extremely good and staff are very helpful. Well worth the detour.
