Farm Tourist Spot
Le Vieux Mas documents traditional trade practices of the region. The farm here is home to cows, donkeys, goats, sheep, pot-bellied pigs, "Yorkshire" pigs, draft horses, riding horses, and rabbits, most of which are tame and can be petted and handled. The farm also features a baby animal nursery--a favorite among visitors. You'll have the chance to view demonstrations of shoe making, carpentry, saddle making, blacksmithing, and other important traditional trades. An old school has been preserved including its antique desks, inkwells, and uniforms. • Took our 7 & 10 year olds to the farm today, they had a ball seeing all of the different animals, learning the history and seeing the displays. Was a 20km drive for us and definitely worth it, but I wouldn't drive for hours to get there.

  • Good but not exceptional experience for anyone without children or children who aren't under 5. The rural experience was (re) created, with farm animal petting and feeding. The firing up of the tractor is impressive, and the old farm house and school room are well curated. The characters are compelling but only for those who understand French. We arrived in the late afternoon and missed out on the artisanal displays so it is probably best to go earlier in the day. To be avoided at all costs if hordes of small children are too much for you but if you fit the target market, it seemed to be a great hit.
