Chateau des Aventuriers, Avrille
(4.4/5 based on 440+ reviews on the web)
Chateau des Aventuriers has undergone many transformations: as Château de la Guignardière, as Maison de Georges Clemenceau, and as an historic monument in 1978. A portion of the castle grounds has even been converted into an adventure park for children. The park is designed around the theme of a world exploration; this gives kids a chance to test their skills as historians as well as discoverers eager to find new lands. While the children explore ancient menhirs, or burial sites, and hunt for treasure amongst the bushes, tour the stone mansion and take in the luxury of times past within its stately rooms. With our world travel planner, Avrille attractions like Chateau des Aventuriers can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • afternoon too short, to discover the Castle and the enigmas of the various adventures offered under a bright autumn sun! young and old we are not bored to solve the puzzles, to visit the Castle and walk in the forest to the dinosaurs. great place with a very friendly welcome to recommend we long to return with new adventures! Thank you

  • I was at the heritage day and I found it was really for small children! That's my opinion

  • One afternoon is barely enough to make 3 attractions open at this time: the pirates, dinosaurs and the Castle. We stayed 4 hours (we left because it was closed but there is still to do) and everyone had fun even parents with the guided tour of the Castle (to make the guide is really interesting) and beautiful gardens. For children they play, seek and learn all at the same time. In short a place to recommend.

  • A superb place to spend a dry day. Lots of walking so be prepared. Lovely gardens to walk through, beautiful chateau and nice cafe and gift shop. Lots for the kids, inflatables, park, boats, nature trail, dinosaur walk, pirate trail and more. The chateau is excellent as you get given a tablet to play an interactive game or you can download it to your smartphone and play as long as it has NFC. Spent the full day there and had a ball, the kids (3,7 & 10) loved it as did my wife and I. Didn't feel it was too expensive either. If you take a picnic there is plenty of places to sit and eat. Excellent day out. The staff were all lovely and everyone we spoke to spoke English, which was a blessing for us.
  • Excellent day out for kids but can be very expense!!family of four cost about 70 Euro
  • Only did the 1 adventure trail but our kids loved it. A pleasant way to spend an afternoon outside.
  • Lovely grounds, with plenty of activities to keep children of all ages occupied, physically and mentally
  • Nice day and the games are great for kids.
