  • If you have time (you should make time) to head up to Rocher des Doms. The gardens were nice to look at but it's the views of the city and surrounding area that makes this worth the walk. Walk around ...  more »
  • After a good meal in a great restaurant nearby, do not deprive themselves of the superb panorama from the Roma rock. 180 degrees you will discover the famous bridge of Avignon, the island of barthelasse, Fort St André of Villeneuve les Avignon, the Tower of Philip the good, and if the horizon is well clear the majestic Mont Ventoux. Then further still, the snow on the Vercors and the mountains of Diois. A real treat. And down towards the square of the Palace, made a detour by the Church of our Lady of Roma in order to admire beautiful paintings recently updated.

  • Just behind the Palace, this garden allows a nice break and offers extraordinary views of the Rhône river and the city.

  • Great service at a beautiful location. The employees were friendly and quick. There is plenty of shadow and the location was absolutely gorgeous. The price was a bit high, but not too high, especially for such a location in a tourism-focused city.
  • Pretty small park near the Papal Palace. To reach it there is a lot of climbing. The park is very pleasant and overlooks the papal palace and the river.
  • Lovely gardens, tinkling fountains and go-cart rides for the kids. A lovely place to spend a hot summer's day.
  • Very picturesque hill top is well worth the climb. There is a nice crepe shop. Get that and a glass of wine and soak in a pleasant afternoon with the ducks in the pond.
  • Nice place to hang out and have a picnic. Can find some nice grassy areas under a tree. Good views of most directions and the half bridge.
