  • The Museum Louis Vouland takes its name from the owner, industrial silver which, having made a fortune in the food, decided to bequeath to his death his mansion and its collections to the Foundation of France. In a preserved setting, there are collections of decorative art of the 17th and 18th centuries. Everything, absolutely everything, is style and time, what constitutes, for each object present, unique pieces, signed or not. Furniture, paintings, (wonderful) earthenware, patches of China (including a spectacular bed), tapestries, everything is in perfect condition. Are presented two temporary exhibitions: Vasarely and a very interesting study asked students of the art school of Avignon in order to imagine a new decorative development of part of the Museum. Three regrets: 1 / the mansion has nothing special outwardly: it looks like a big mansion. It's on the inside that turns all its interest. 2 / staging within a bias classic and sober (beautiful presentation of earthenware), ribbed of darkness, does not make this old house living. Objects are beautiful, and even beautiful. It is undeniable, but lifeless... 3 / the eclecticism of the collection gives an idea of the diversity of the likes of Louis Vouland, but there isn't a real aesthetic dominant.

  • Close to the school, frederic mistral... we are family went see the vasarely Museum voulland expo... this beautiful remains bourgeois. L, home has been good, and coffrs are available to put bags or coats, a friendly person and gives a white sheet and a pencil has our daughter to keep a souvenir of the visit... simple idea... but good idea. On the ground floor the expo vasarely which outlines of his life with his artistic development and the floor voulland Museum itself spoke with qq works of vasarely set situation... a paradox almost in this House... but making yet very interesting visit. Go there if the expo is not yet complete... otherwise it will go to the Museum vasarely of aix en provence...
