  • particular building. Interesting visit in what concerns the works of Michel Steiner, the film dedicated to him as well as the painters of the South. For the rest visiting the place is interesting with a keen interest in porcelain and period furniture. But museography is a little outdated, antiquated with a clear lack of precision as to the works described. Prints pasted to the wall at the entrance to the exhibition are not in good condition. The entry is quite expensive.

  • A little out of the way of the circuits, but essential to any art lover, the Museum Louis Vouland is a little nugget to be missed. Located near the walls, not far from the parking lot of the oratory, beside rue Vernet, the charming Mansion from the 19th century which houses collections is an ideal small candy. In a visit that takes place under the sign of suspended time, we discover both old furniture, earthenware than Provencal painters of the Ecole d'Avignon. These little masters of a local Impressionism show, with great sensitivity, all tones of an era disappeared until newer painters and who have now acquired the renowned Auguste Chabaud as Alfred Lesbros (small Shop at the entrance - very friendly - that serves as a library allows provision of a few pamphlets and brochures on these different artists). Opening on the garden is a green break before going out in the Avignon furnace. P.S. The Museum knows also to combine the artistic courses and open; We saw other years an amazing show on the entomologist Jean - Henri Fabre one another on the universe of Vasarely and, more recently, a nice hanging on the works of a painter still little (re) known, Claude Firmin.

  • A nice house with a collection in search of cohesiveness. When we visited there were pieces of modern art placed willy-nilly in with the permanent collection.  more »

  • A special museum with some artworks you can interact with. Some philosophically meaningful artworks that symbolise how nature survives in a world of men and guides, free of charge, throughout the museum are very willing to explain the art exposed herein.
  • A true wonder, and a very warm welcome. Not to be missed
