Climb the 370 steps of Escalier Monumental, and enjoy the surrounding gardens and terraces. The 35 m high (115 ft) staircase was built in 1863 with local limestone. In the center stands a statue of Charles de Batz, better known as the Comte d'Artagnan--captain of the King's Musketeers that Alexandre Dumas made famous in his tale, "The 3 Musketeers."   • Go to Auch is impossible to not go to the ladder to contemplate the beautiful views and the monument of d'Artagnan. It is not good to go with guys at night since meets many people drinking and smoking marijuana.
