Landmark
As ancient as the Pyramids of Giza, Cairn Du Petit Mont is a Neolithic structure built to line up with the sun. Erected in three phases, the most ancient cairn dates to 4,500 BCE and the most recent was built around 2,000 BCE. Visit the megalithic architecture and go inside the dolmens to view huge granite blocks with archaic engravings of snakes, axes, signs, and various motifs. You can explore on your own, attend a guided tour in English, or join an educational workshop. Put Cairn Du Petit Mont into our Arzon tour planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • The small mountain is not only the cairn, 5 or 6,000 years old, which is still not bad if we're interested in the first occupants of Britain, but it is especially a walk that starts from the beach of Fogeo, meanders in the bushes of turn or gorse fragrant to the chapel of Crouesty. Views of the sea and the Islands in the distance is a memory I revives every year.

  • Nice Cairn, lovely walk to the monument. Bit small parking
  • Very interesting. Excellent guide. It's too bad that a German bunker is installed in this prehistoric place.

  • Disappointed because it is difficult to see in the middle of the vegetation, and unable to access more ready to pay for approaching and visit this Cairm... why not pay for the inside visit, but well almost nothing outside it is too bad...

  • Small interesting visit to the family. It's too bad that a part of the cairn has been transformed into bunker by the Germans during the 2nd World War.

  • Beautiful Neolithic construction that has been used in part to build a bunker during the second world war. Interesting visit.
