  • We went there on the advice of the person who sold us the pass and we were very pleasantly surprised. The Museum is quite rich of interesting works. the architecture is very pretty also. Even if you are not fan art I think you will find interesting things in this museum.

  • Here are at least 3 good reasons to go to the Réattu Museum: 1. place allows overdraft former Grand Priory of the order of Malta, and incidentally to see some high figures through portraits full of Majesty. A Council: will you walk along the Rhône river, once accomplished visit, and enjoy the façade of the building in its curve along the docks. 2. the door Museum name with a (too) little-known painter, Jacques Réattu, (nephew of the Arles painter Antoine Raspal), which obtained the grand prix of Rome in 1790 but didn't was not the success of a David, Gros, Girodet or Ingres. His work, albeit academic, deserves to be (re) discovery and his "Vision of Jacob" denotes a talent that confirms "The death of Alcibiades" remarkable although unfinished (or only incomplete). 3 Picasso is also been there and has donated about 50 designs that prove the Harlequin to the bat to the portrait of musketeer who in doubt that between '' the painter and his model '' there is incredible force that emerges. Note: the portrait of Maria Picasso Lopez (mother of the painter), executed in 1923 and strangely makes think of Catherine Deneuve today (she won't hold it against me, seen from the brush of Picasso that is rather a compliment). There are good others (reasons) as a letter from Van Gogh to Gauguin, Lucien Clergue photos or the odalisque of Zadkine to deserve continue a rewarding visit, not to mention the exhibitions which are often talk past the Museum with the present in a confrontation with contemporary artists. The previous exhibitions Lacroix was a flamboyant figure, the image of the couturier, child of Arles, which draws part of his imagination in a baroque South and hispanisant. Finally, make a stop at the bookstore that will allow you to get back to the expos past or acquire a litho of an artist (Alechinsky, Lacroix...) for an affordable price.

  • There are entered as part of the festival of the photograph and I could also admire beautiful paintings and sketches by Picasso. I switched some race because I was more interested in photography but I must say that it's worth a ride just for the museum itself.

  • Not my thing but modern art types will like it. They pipe in sounds in various rooms which I suppose is in keeping with the modern art aspect of the place. Still it has a nice courtyard.
  • I like it. With Arles Pass it is for free. Good mix between Modern Art and Rennaissance. Very interesting photo exhibition, there are even photos from NASA's Apollo 12 mission.
  • Excellent building, not too impressed by the content!
  • Amazing... a interesting mix of historic and modern art... And great collection of Picasso drawings...
  • Nothing special but nice museum.
