Founded by the Romans and taken over by Christians in the fourth century, this was Arles' main burial ground for nearly 1,500 years. • Necropolis Park gives us a feeling of calm, quiet under this canopy of trees stripped of their foliage. At the end of the aisle, the Church Saint-Honorat in sad condition; Here is a site that deserves a bit of renovation.

  • The name comes from the Champs Elysees, the beyond. It is a tree-lined boulevard along approximately one kilometer. The sides, under the trees, Roman sarcophagi; Some are still visible inscriptions and symbols of professions. At the end of the Avenue is the Romanesque church of St. Honorat, unfortunately been abandoned and inhabited by pigeons fouling the Interior.

  • Great necropolis. A beautiful row of sarcophagi under large trees who formemt an arch and at the end of the Church, romantic wish in the fall! Try to go to the opening time will be there almost alone.
