Trouve... more »We arrived on Saturday, July 8 in a deserted station, Lunar décor. The rise has occurred in dense fog (there were not 10 m) and to the sound of the bells of flocks. Find our residence was difficult because the signage is less obvious. The station activities began in reality until 13 July: knowing the school holidays began July 7 in the evening and that 13 is midweek, it seems strange. Office of tourism closed Saturday evening, but schedules promised its opening the next day. Well, no: it opened on Monday. When we went there, the morning, the person of the home told me posted schedules did not match the reality, the host opened that same day and that she had not yet connected the computer (brought by his care even in the morning). I stayed in stunned. Having been a hostess in a tourist office, I was surprised this Times story (put up a sign with the opening date for the summer season seems the minimum). Total lack of information on the hiking trails (on the grounds that nothing is yet published; but there's no docs on those of last year?). No open trade, apart from the restaurant "Spatulas and forks" for which I wrote a (excellent!) opinion. No ATM. However, the station staff is lovely, has a sense of customer service pushed and is full of humor (thanks to Thierry to have closed the laundry earlier on Sunday evening, because I had not seen schedules; thanks to Christophe for his help at the level of the washing machine, thanks to Cedric for searching for a product to wash the carpet Thanks to all those that I have not withheld names unfortunately, for their help and advice throughout the week). A library is well-stocked with books for everyone as well as Board Games. The exhibits are super interesting (on flowers, on Haroun Tazzieff). Mini golf is installed but... only accessible with the Lou pass, a card for € 13 per person, allowing for discounts on various activities. Bad luck, the activities of the station were opened on 14 July: we would not buy a pass 2 days before leaving, just to make a game of minigolf. Why is it not possible against a small amount out of the Pass to access to minigolf? Otherwise, beautiful walks in the station, beautiful places to visit in the Barétous Valley and in the Aspe Valley. And especially nice encounters with a family of shepherds, La Pierre Saint Martin residents, the inhabitants of the valleys. We rested, enjoyed moments and came away delighted. The only flaws, so: the season should open earlier, at this resort, with activities for families. A trade power (and memories, with a few postcards!) would be minimal because if you arrive on a Saturday night with nothing, we can back down (I had planned the coup and had brought what survive). An ATM powered is essential. If nothing is done, this station live over the winter, which is unfortunate in the light of its location and many possible walks. At a minimum, the station could pay Patricia and Lawrence (from the restaurant "Spatulas and forks"): these are the best ambassadors for this station, at the beginning of summer season, bringing information and practical information.
