The Tournette is a mountain in the Bornes Massif in Haute-Savoie, France. It is the highest of the mountains surrounding Lake Annecy and has a prominence of 1,514m, qualifying it as an Ultra.It is possible to drive most of the way up, parking at Chalet De L'Aulp. From here the summit can be reached via a well marked path in around 3 hours. The final third of the climb requires some scrambling, but there are chains and ladders in all the difficult sections.

  • After a stop in the refuge of the pre Verel, the climb to the cottage of the Aulp is an inescapable ballad if you stay a few days in Annecy. A hike to the weather.

  • Magnificent view, hike up to the cabin the aulp made with a little 2 year old, arrived at the cottage is right on the Lake Annecy... To book to eat at the cottage. It's just beautiful!

  • This walk has been going on for easy 5 hours to the top and 3-4 hours on the way back, if you still takes pictures and settled. Departure so on time! If the above is not cloudy, you have wonderful views of the Mont Blanc. You will also certainly gemsen and ibexes against mountain, magnificent beasts. In Montmin and no possibility to buy something, take so everything (water, food, clothing) itself sufficiently in advance.
