(4.4/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web)
Breath in the savage beauty of the Gorges du Fier from walkways built 24 m (79 ft) above the burbling waters. Read the signs you see along the path, as the information will reveal a surprise. Also stop in the little room at the end to see film footage that shows the changes in water level. You'll be glad the water is low as you cross the wooden bridge and feel the spray sprinkle on your face. • After the visit to the castle of access, the road descends directly to the Fier gorges, parking is quickly filled, after crossing a small bridge that crosses the proud we take a path that leads to the entrance of the gorges, a refreshment bar, a bar and the bank issuing the tickets, then along the space under our feet by narrow bridges big pocket of water, dizzying leaps with explanatory panels, beautiful circuit runs 50 minutes.

  • Place to discover. Particularly suitable to children through the many playful panels. Very nice tour.

  • Good place to spend a few hours. Nicely laid out. Look out for the faces on the rock!
  • Amazing very narrow and complexly eroded gorge. More like a cave river with open roof. You traverse about 500m (and back same way) along a slightly dilapidated walkway 20m above the "normal" river level (and still 20m below the top), then some river bank around more crazy river erosion, then back same way. The river's been known to flood much deeper than the walkway during spring melt, and there are some bad videos and photos of this, plus some boards with ecosystem info and cute local fairytales, but the highlight is the gorge itself.
  • Very nice place with a path/bridge inside the gorge above the Fier river. Really worth a visit.
  • Walking past the canyon with the river streaming down your feet... Priceless experience !!!
  • A very nice detour worth a short visit to see an example of how nature can produce spectacular things.
