Basilique de la Visitation, Annecy
Categories: Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Standing as a tribute to an ancient monastery, Basilique de la Visitation holds the remains of two saints. Two bronze sarcophagi celebrate the life of François de Sales, a well-loved bishop, and Jeanne de Chantal. The church was built by renowned architect Alfred-Henri Recoura from 1909 to 1930. Pick up an explanatory leaflet, available in multiple languages, for information on the stained glass windows. Stop by the well-stocked gift shop for souvenirs. Note that if you're coming on foot, the walk up can be a bit strenuous. Plan to see Basilique de la Visitation and other attractions that appeal to you using our Annecy tourist route planner.

Costruita nel 1900, architettonicamente ha poco da dare, se ne salva lo spirito di santuario dedicato a San Francesco di Sales. Unico e forte motivo per una visita a questa basilica.Built in 1900, architecturally has little to give, if you save the spirit of shrine to St. Francis de Sales. Unique and strong reason for visiting this basilica.show original
