  • The entrance fee is absurd, for the quality of the service. Some reproductions (of quality) plastic encased in concrete. The building is a genuine wart in this village. Teaching! Yes, but prices children too high, no student rate, shame to the region and the Manager; for a family with 3 children € 30. Walls in concrete and cardboard.

  • As a native of Perigord black thought I saw what there was more beautiful in prehistoric site and WELL no! The roc to wizards is extraordinary a small village which has an animation like this me amazed C is playful and beautiful if all children had this site for understanding the prehistory they would all have 20/20 to their mark! Bravo

  • The site is beautiful and deserves a visit. The Roc to witches is an interest equivalent to lascaux. The interest of lascaux is painting, the Roc to wizards is sculpture. The rock - the sorcerers is a rock shelter containing a site adorned with parietal monumental sculptures dating from the Upper Paleolithic. It is located in the commune of Angles-on-the Anglin, in Vienna (France). The parietal works are specifically assigned to the Magdalenian way (approximately 14,000 years BP). The site is called 'Rock - to the wizards' in relation to a legend local that witches and wizards gathered in this place. The name of the place is mentioned in the literature by Jacques red (1904) well before the discovery of the archaeological site.

  • Very pretty village and beautiful and well developed prehistoric sculptures in scene. Very nice, for the young and old

  • Very disappointed. .. We expect the reconstruction of a cave and finally we found it in a room watching a video

  • not much to see

  • visiting the region today, we made a detour to discover this site but very disappointed! arriving we learn that "there no guided tours today"! unless we are given the reason! Therefore, we leave for the "discovery tour" but difficult to captivate the children without a guide! Only the film caught our attention, 'outdoor Friesland' appears faded (due at the end of season?)? Belvedere: without any view! short, small detour no great interest, this time will be a good time to ride but a bit expensive for a "stroll" (16th for 2 A & 2 E).

  • We often speak of archaeology and origins of man, with the Great Rift, or Tautavel or Lascaux... In fact the confines of Poitou and Touraine you can find these sources. It is the Roc to sorcerers. A few miles away, in indre-et-loire, you have also an archaeological museum, Grand Pressigny. At argenton on hollow, South of the Indre Department you will also find a very beautiful archaeological museum...
