Terra Botanica, Angers

4.0
#2 of 19 in Theme Parks in Pays de la Loire
Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
Terra Botanica is a collection of some of the world’s most ravishing plant life from Madagascar to South America. The vegetation from different geographic locations isn’t the only exceptional exhibit; you’ll also find greenery from different millennia, such as a living replica of the world’s first forest. If your olfactory senses need a break from the magnificently scented flowers, then visit some of the 4-D sensory shows that transport you from the French countryside to the deck of a barge or to the treetops, all aboard a nutshell. Put Terra Botanica into our Angers itinerary builder to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Angers.

  • Our initial thought was that it might be a bit naff, but we had chateau overload so decided to give it a go and were glad that we did - it is very nicely done and proved to be a great day out for all ...  more »
  • I would firstly like to acknowledge and thank the service "internet reservation", which as a result of a "bug" when my order very quickly and very effectively reacting so that I receive my tickets on time. Thanks to the Manager "group booking" (Delphine). In the past, this site easy to access and well signposted offers you a host of the most smiling and we see quickly that the staff will do everything to find out if needed, help you if needed and all throughout the day where we had a few difficulties of tracking (even better despite the plan provided Interior signage and the free downloadable application). As in all these attractions, the prior choice of tour, their order, schedules must be made upstream as well as the major choice to see which caters to children and adults (do both me appears difficult to reconcile if we want that small benefit the most of the offer). We will therefore return between adults without children to visit the component more addressing the big. Moreover this park is really essential in richness, diversity, and the nature of the benefits. A significant point, cost: this site is very accessible and all those that we visited (Planète Sauvage, Vulcania,...) it remains the least expensive given the all-inclusive admission (except the hot air balloon, of course). Restaurant on-site, there also is incomparable, supply is diversified, suitable for all and quality while being well cooked products. Thank you to the lovely frame if you eat on the terrace of the restaurant of the King René. A wonderful day with our two little girls and the final word remains to the biggest, which asked us up by car: "when did you back?". It means everything.

  • A very nice surprise! A park based on the plant world but not only... Development of the history of the region. Only the attraction of nuts left me unsatisfied... but others have been able to raise the level above all the botanical Odyssey and adventure 4 d. A good quality/price ratio.

  • Beautiful with many kinds of tree and flowers. I love it. But unlucky for us to come on the windy day so the ballon didnt work. We will come back to enjoy more.
  • Nice idea close to where we were staying in France. However the queue for the balloon took an hour and it was very busy.
  • Nice place to visit but not in summer
  • Nice plants and clean park. Nice 4d cinema. Lack of butterflies in butterfly house. Some of the shows are quite disappointing. Came here when it opened, plants are better now but Terra Botanica trues to satisfy plant lovers and kids with amusements but doesn't quite manage to fully satisfy either.
  • Wow! Don't miss it! One of the best of this kind. A beautiful botanical garden, 4D cinema, monorail cycling through a beautiful garden, some wonderful and very creative cinema presentations of flower life... to name only a few. It is a interesting place for the whole family and you can spend here a whole day.
