Terra Botanica, Angers

4.0
#2 of 18 in Theme Parks in Pays de la Loire
Terra Botanica is a collection of some of the world’s most ravishing plant life from Madagascar to South America. The vegetation from different geographic locations isn’t the only exceptional exhibit; you’ll also find greenery from different millennia, such as a living replica of the world’s first forest. If your olfactory senses need a break from the magnificently scented flowers, then visit some of the 4-D sensory shows that transport you from the French countryside to the deck of a barge or to the treetops, all aboard a nutshell. Put Terra Botanica into our Angers itinerary builder to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Angers.

very relaxing, wooded park of trees and plants from all countries. Attractions such as the 4 D, the Loire (recreates, small) to boat, nuts (kind of pedalo) in trees, adorn the day. Small flat maintenance could be better quality ex: the rose garden with its not terrible wilted roses, and other flowers also faded, Miss - it gardener to remove these flowers? Overall it is a nice Park.

It is misleading to name Terra Botanica "attraction"! Terra Botanica recounts the long history of the travelling of the plants. Plant novelties are staged with 275 000 species from around the world, the exceptional collections of orchids, roses, Palm trees... of giant greenhouses in lush gardens, swamp rice, generous gardens in dark forests of Mediterranean landscapes in lands of the East. In terms of plant discovery, the Park is exceptional. His problem is with fun activities to make children and adolescents find a surplus of interest, it is neither frankly Botany/expert, or amusement park as some imagine, where the disappointments of those who believed go to hoaxing is handsomely in an amusement park. However the fun animations are nice if we understand that this is not the place to find a coaster thrills! It's a large extraordinary garden where stroll, observe, learn and play! Our whole family: grandparents, parents, children, tweens: we love! We go and go back two or three times a season, all together!

Beautiful garden with good number of attractions, great for younger children, plenty of room for picnics, friendly staff. Very good to visit by bike, beautiful bike path from Angers to the garden.

Great theme park. Full of interesting features. Well deserved to be in 10 best parks in France. €20 per adult is well wort it and kids go free (normally €14) if you pick up coupons from Tourist Information (one for each child)

A very surprise in place. Not what we expected at all. Two families holidaying with young children were delighted and revitalised by this place.

Brilliant park with lots to do. We could easily have spent two days there.
