  • If you are passing in Angers, go visit the Museum Jean Lurçat / his masterpiece "the song of the world" is exposed, a marvel for the eyes dazzled by so many colors and light / the hanging is composed of 10 tapestries all too beautiful than the other / a leaflet you described each of the works and you can stay for hours to admire them and admire the art of weaving.

  • originire of St. Lawrence the towers in the Lot (46), I had to visit the castle of Jean Lurçat and his tapestries a dozen times. (place where he ended his life with colorful sculptures and tapestries: red, yellow and blue, the joyous themes: rooster, butterfly, Sun) What was my amazement in discovering his work exhibited in Angers. This has been done before and during WW2 and there's really black! both the tones in the meaning, I was stunned but happy to know another facet of this artist who has accompanied my youth!

  • You have to love the art style that is exposed here. Contemporary tapestry is not for everyone. But some temporary exhibitions are nice to go and see if you like it.
