Chateau de Brissac, Angers

(420+ reviews on the web)
Castle
The tallest château in the Loire Valley, Chateau de Brissac has seven stories overlooking the sumptuous curves of the surrounding landscape. It’s also a posh locale for the Val de Loire festival. Once the French location for Brazil's celebrity magazine, “Caras,” the castle was also the stadium for Iron Chef France. Chosen as a spot to showcase French cuisine--and celebrities--because of its elegant rooms, the château is a classic example of austere French elegance, gilded in gold and fit for a king. • Rustics! Go your way! Castle is visible from the outside... Is good enough & if like me you pay to enter you will be disappointed (see notice of Olivier L) the monument operated by the descendants of the aristocracy who cling to their areas. They're buying forests around to organize "Hunts" prohibit access to the populace, but don't forget to make their rooms at € 250 with rich foreign hunters.

  • This isn't a historical castle visit is a visit from a bourgeois family that offers no interest. The French bourgeoisie on the decline: pathetique.les historical reviews of the guide are especially royalist and anti revolutionary. Tickets bought too dear for a private ste

  • visit really exciting, not only because the castle is very nice, but by the quality of his guide, feels is totally in his element. This castle is really surprising because built several times. Presence of magnificent tapestries, I found by curious however to present as many photos of the family, which, in my opinion, is the private setting.

  • Been here twice. Dog friendly location. Interesting as the way it was built and the caves.
  • Nice place to visit.
  • Lovely grounds but the guided tour is tortuous!
  • Amazing place, well worth a visit
  • Very interesting private castle, where you could even stay!
