Chateau de Brissac, Angers

(4.4/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
The tallest château in the Loire Valley, Chateau de Brissac has seven stories overlooking the sumptuous curves of the surrounding landscape. It’s also a posh locale for the Val de Loire festival. Once the French location for Brazil's celebrity magazine, “Caras,” the castle was also the stadium for Iron Chef France. Chosen as a spot to showcase French cuisine--and celebrities--because of its elegant rooms, the château is a classic example of austere French elegance, gilded in gold and fit for a king. • Superb partly furnished Castle, a very rich history. A nice Park with a few plans of water and majestic trees

  • We especially love to walk in the Park. The course is very well reported on the time that we can go through each path. The visit of the castle was very interesting with a passionate guide. I enjoyed the stories about each piece. The visit of the cellars and tasting was interesting, too bad the quality of the wine is not the appointment. The legend on the various dishes of the large kitchen has helped us a lot. It was good to be able to visit the stables, but we found that they were not highlighted enough.

  • Been here twice. Dog friendly location. Interesting as the way it was built and the caves.
  • Nice place to visit.
  • Lovely grounds but the guided tour is tortuous!
  • Amazing place, well worth a visit
  • Very interesting private castle, where you could even stay!
