Chateau de Brissac, Angers
(4.4/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web)
The tallest château in the Loire Valley, Chateau de Brissac has seven stories overlooking the sumptuous curves of the surrounding landscape. It’s also a posh locale for the Val de Loire festival. Once the French location for Brazil's celebrity magazine, “Caras,” the castle was also the stadium for Iron Chef France. Chosen as a spot to showcase French cuisine--and celebrities--because of its elegant rooms, the château is a classic example of austere French elegance, gilded in gold and fit for a king. • The castle is splendid, the great Park, a place relaxing. The visit ends with the cellar and a tasting of very good wines from nearby vineyards. A reference!

  • Castle maginfique and very well maintained by the BRISSAC family. It is a castle that lives, in addition to the visits, events are held (... Easter egg hunt). Not to be missed is the Christmas market, decorations, atmosphere is all there. Price of entry a bit expensive but it's worth the trip

  • Been here twice. Dog friendly location. Interesting as the way it was built and the caves.
  • Nice place to visit.
  • Lovely grounds but the guided tour is tortuous!
  • Amazing place, well worth a visit
  • Very interesting private castle, where you could even stay!
