  • Located 4 km in bird's eye of the House that I grew in Amboise, I wouldn't know that too advised this building, the only one remaining in the domain of the Duke of Choiseul. Yet, the whole of his field having was looted by "the band" in order to resell the tufa stones components... so many amboisienne homes taking advantage of these beautiful stones. Pull the "Chinese" character of this period, the pagoda will offer you one of the atypical of the town of Amboise panorama since it is the highest point on this side of the city. Panorama on the Loire but also on the 13km 2 of forests representing 6612,17 hectares of Woods.

  • find a pagoda in the land of the Kings of France, in the middle of the Woods, almost to believe Asia, feel free to go this way just outside of Amboise on the road of bléré, 2 hours in good weather will suffice you for this moment of pleasure.

  • The place is pretty, pretty interesting visit, old games available much liked and to adults and children. The small bag lent to the kids with clues to seek, a compass, things to do, is really well done and attended a pleasant and instructive visit. Attention however, the ascent into the pagoda is not very reassuring, the stairs are very steep and narrow, some markets are not in very good condition, and it's enough (or very) dizzying. A panel advising him against people with health problems or dizziness was present, but on the other side of the pagoda from the meaning of visit imposed by the children booklet! Same thing with children, attention if you go up, the railings of balconies probably match the requirements of the time of its construction, but if you are visiting with children, it's obviously dangerous! However, the view is very nice. The real downside of the pagoda of Chanteloup, these are the rates that are really very high. It's a shame, because thereby I doubt us back there, it is really expensive for a family... Even if we understand that the maintenance of the domain must be expensive, I find it unfortunate that the owners chose instead to raise more funds by organizing such events such as the Christmas market or other festive events to attract world (as if I understood the explanations, there was until recently an annual party that drew the entire world... also a shame to have lost this tradition...)
