  • If you are traveling in a Normandie-journey from Rouen to Etretat, you should insert a brief stop here, in this pretty half-timbered village is the oldest oak tree in France, with 2 small, superimposed chapels in the trunk of the oak tree, the upper chapel is accessible, interesting and not crowded by a staircase.

  • A curiosity that you can take in a drive-by, but is not necessarily worth a detour. Not much is left of the still green oak and also that what gebliebenist, escapes through the staircase and the various support elements largely looks.

  • A radio broadcast saying that it was the oldest European tree gave me the idea to make this detour. Must support him and help him survive, though he well deserves this detour if you visit the coast of upper Normandy

  • My parents and grandparents were born in this hamlet
