The visits are made all day. We did the free tour, so without a guide there are machines that explains the operation of manufacturing, a small educational game of manufacturing for the children.

A good surprise that this visit with a charming guide which did us very well explained how the calissons are made. Follow-up sampling and purchases in a beautiful shop which leaves no one indifferent.

Nice shop. Many varieties of calissons, nougats and other Olivettes... Informative guided tour, or not. Price quite high, with quality products. Only downside, with such elegance it would be desirable to have a home at the height of the brand...

For lovers of calissons, a Museum is dedicated to them in the new temple of this sweetness of Aix-en-Provence. On Wednesday morning, enjoy a guided tour of the Museum with a bonus, a creation of calissons demonstration and tasting all just out of the oven. A delight! Thanks again Vincent for the visit. Little more for children: do your "digital" calissons!

The Museum is very interesting clean and well designed. If you want to see a part of the factory in operation must go during the week. I recommend visiting.

Where to stay in Aix-en-Provence

To explore the old town's shops, markets, and bookstores on foot, stay at one of the city's centrally located hotels. Just a short drive from this busy central area are a selection of luxurious villas, surrounded by formal gardens and private swimming pools. Though rather expensive, these elegant mansions provide a convenient base from which to explore the cultured area surrounding the city. For a cheaper alternative, look for private inns and B&Bs on the edge of town.
