3.7/5 based on 30 reviews on the web
Parc et Jardins du Chateau d'Acquigny is an idyllic and romantic site framing a Renaissance chateau built on the theme of love. During your stroll in this romantic park designed in the late 18th century, an ideal walk for nature lovers, you will come across many historical monuments. Discover the natural treasures as well, including serpentine rivers, waterfalls, and rock paths.

These elements merge with elements from the once-French formal garden: remarkable trees, an orangery, a collection of citrus trees, a kitchen garden, an orchard enclosed by canals, and rose brick walls with their espaliered pear trees. Flowers, blooming shrubs for every season, a condiment garden, exotic and rare trees, and vast perspectives also brighten up this park. • We took advantage of the heritage days to visit this castle. Disappointment: entry pay 7 euros instead of 7.50 euros (under normal circumstances) - free for children. Beautiful park with beautiful subjects: Garden of lights - in English - very romantic beautiful castle: not open to the public! only show noon - a disappointing room tour: only of the exteriors of the castle to the waterfall (half an hour rather than 45 minutes, 1 hour and 10 minutes in normal times) - a guide in Sweatshirt Hoodie - waiting not any group (of course) to give the explanations, which were not suitable for children but interesting for adults a beautiful vegetable garden a beautiful serpentine River, a beautiful orangerie. Attention: the magnificent high Church is accessible from outside of the site - take the street in front of the Town Hall - inside is not in a very good condition a nice green tour in the end.

  • Beautiful well maintained park in the French style, no matter how slightly started, cute places to uedinenij, along the banks of the river and its tributary. There are plaques pointing to breed and age of the plant.

  • Nice visit despite the rain that arrived late in the day. Beautiful old trees, and the grounds are immaculately well kept and when you know that there is only a gardener, we say "hat".
