  • I would say the Turku market Hall. A variety of meat, fish and cheese counters. A lot of variety of cafes and restaurants, something for everyone to eat. A lot of the home. Small shops and stalls. A wonderful old atmosphere.

  • One of my absolute favorite places in Turku. Old fashioned market hall with small shops, a cafe and several dining options. Good place to find authentic Finnish cuisine and fine souvenirs. There is a "food court" where all family members can choose from a variety of places to eat and still eat together. Best mood before Christmas when live choirs sing Christmas music and the Hall is decorated.

  • We were having lunch at "Herkkunuotta". Always fresh & delicous fish dishes. Nothing fancy but amazing food. You always have only 3-4 choices; place is full and You have to wait Your turn. Absolutely ...  more »

  • Great place to get fresh and local food and groceries. There are also several cafes and lunch places to eat during day. A historic place to do shopping and meet people.
  • Nice place to get fresh meat and fish. They also sell frozen meat/fish, dry fruits, cheese and alcohol. The food stalls are also good if u want to grab a quick bite. The only downside is that, everything is expensive here.
  • Very traditional, histrical place. There is a sushi-restaulant that is called "KADO" in the market. I was very surprised that Euro-guy is cooking sushi, and so delicious!
  • Believe it or not, had some very decent tacos. Coming from California, expectations were not high but the flavors were fresh and done right. Would absolutely get those again. Smaller kauppahalli than Tampere for example, but lots of lunch options which I think is the purpose of this particular location.
  • A very nice market hall in the city centre. Offers all you need food wise plus a few restaurants and a cobbler and a seamstress. Also gives you a glimpse of how the world looked 100 years ago.
