  • Interesting history of the city, including grime Civil War, but also Public Transport vehicles, as trolleybus, which was on duty in the 1950's. Worth to visit.
  • Came here with a couple friends during the free admission hours on Friday. There was a ton to explore and look through. We weren't able to finish all of the exhibits in as much detail as we wanted bec...  more »
  • Industrial archaeology, in Tampere, has been very well used. In the space of the old factory Tampella, built between 1910 and 1920, opened to the public in 1996 (and it has been expanded) the museum complex of Vapriiki. For 10 euros (with discounts for students, pensioners, etc.) you can visit ten muerstras on topics as diverse as the hockey (national sport in Finland), natural history, the rock, a Museum of dolls, other minerals, the postal Museum, as well as a temporary exhibition (during my visit there was a textile art that caught my attention). Great space industry, conveniently divided into sections to three levels (you can access all of them in elevator) also has a great attraction for the children, because he has devised with pedagogical criteria useful also for adults. He has, on the other hand, a cafeteria equipped with a buffet where you eat very well (attest it) by about 10 euros, and a souvenir shop with all kinds of souvenirs and handicrafts, although this does not aunque esta no es is cheap. There is, moreover, a wardrobe with hangers for coats and closed tickets 50 cent euro coin operated (with me had the attention of give me a card that was supplying the currency when I bought the entry). I took one day rainy and unpleasant to spend a few hours in this pleasant place, who I highly recommend to those who visit to Tampere. The visit can be done in an hour or slightly more, but it isn't bad eating there and extend it, as I did.

  • Many museums under one roof. Any single of them is worth admission price.
  • Well made and interesting exhibits, most if not all are worth it.
  • Several top quality exhibitions. Especially the Post museum and natural history museum are worth checking out, as well as the 1918 civil war exhibition.
  • Interesting exhibitions, easy place to spend few hours
  • A great museum and lots of things to do with kids.
