  • Interesting to wonder where all the material from the fortress. Some exciting remnants still stand. One can see traces of stones from the manufacture. Not so much information about why and how it happened sooner. More than that, la much gunpowder on the Interior. Look rather for the plant Kingdom and the protected Avarönnen.

  • The last time I visited are located at Bomarsund over 30v then and the images were pretty weak:). The car we got well going through the ruins of lastenvaunujenkin Park and also with success. It was really windy day so we're not terrible for a long time, but the most memorable moment of walking in the pienokaisellemme were certainly within the ruins of the grass eaten by sheep. Also here and there were signs that told the history of the place, were really good and interesting.

  • A must visit in Aland. A huge ruined Crimean War era fort, which is entirely accessible year round. A fantastically remote and atmospheric place to visit in the off-season when there is no-one around.
  • Nice experience of the previous Russian history on Åland. There are many informative posters describing not only the historic context but also details of people who were active during this period and still can see their names on the graveyards around the island.
  • Great and peaceful location on Aland Islands
  • Definitely worth a visit. The fortress carrying the very history and is a nice children's playground as well as a "museum". More information and interesting signs will tell you about the site.
