  • The Sami are outside the door of our hotel "Panorama" so we could enter through a tunnel. The exhibition is nice but quite manageable.

  • Interesting Museum. Explanations are written in several languages, including the french. Count an hour of visit, to end a hot drink at the cafe with a nice view of the entire resort. A staircase of some 700 steps allows access from the bottom of the station. For the less athletic, access by cabs or the road if you are conveyed.

Where to stay in Levi

Finland's biggest ski resort, Levi features seasonal accommodation related to the outdoors with a surprising amount of activity given the city's location in Lapland. Outside of the snow sports industry, Levi is a small town, so you'll have easy access to most of the urban activity if you stay in one of the bigger hotels in the city center. This also puts you close to bars, clubs, and restaurants. Options include everything from mid-level chain hotels to sizeable, all-inclusive spas. Alternatively, rent a chalet or guesthouse in the surrounding hills to be closer to the area's natural setting.
