  • In the city centre, between two bays, on the top of the Hill stands the handsome Cathedral, built in the middle of the 19th century. The Spire of the Bell Tower, with a height of over 50 metres, is visible from anywhere in the city. Chimes every hour on resemble the inexorable progression of time. Red brick buildings in perfect harmony with the green of the surrounding Cathedral pines. Acolyte kindly allowed to explore Cathedral inside, but its interior ascetic and modestly. Choir-organ, but we haven't heard. On one of the trees at a height of about 5 meters, enshrined the layout of the building of the Cathedral.

  • Traditional for all Finnish towns of Lutheran Church. In winter you can see inside the interiors only during service (Sunday at 10 a.m.). Well yes there is a huge body of the watch.

  • Really miss the Cathedral-very difficult) it can be seen from afar: the church tower height-51 metre, pretty awesome! At the beginning of the 20 century was Chair of the Bishop, and hence received its name. Built in neo-Gothic style during the winter war of Finland and Russia was almost destroyed, but it was restored. The Cathedral is on the dais, so offer a nice view) around a small park, all clean and well cared for. Photo here accompanied by enough, add only photos of a birdhouse in a tree next to the entrance of the Cathedral-really I liked-the birdhouse as a cathedral
