  • Really liked the old (sort of like the oldest fortress in Northern Europe-at least so says the brochure) you can go for free, browse the different courtyards, go to the shop with the corresponding symbols-but the shop is not very cheap. A magnet on the fridge for 7 euros it already as though too much I think. There are individual paid tickets and tours of the inner part-I think you can go once, but we didn't go.

  • The castle is every time a vast attraction. New "kolosia" find with each visit. Now we had booked the Castle Hall for us at the table and we ate there for dinner a harbinger of the beginning of the show. Good service at an affordable price, and the atmosphere quite staggering. The Castle room is so difficult steps from the Canal can not be recommended. Now, a great staff, helped an elderly person in the kitchen door for the easier route along the away. The great thing about!

  • The castle is just amazing. Guided tours include access to paid leave every hour on the flat, in the summer, guided tours in different languages e.g. in English, Russian and Swedish. I highly recommend the Hole rounds.

  • Nice place, good guides several languages, English and Russian as well. If you buy ticket you can join to guided group for tour around the castle. Entarncef for adults 10eur, youngsters till 17 yo. 4.5eur.
  • The Castle was very impressive. I warmly recommend the guided tour, since it was quite amusing and there is no entrance to the towers without the guide.
  • Beautiful Castle
  • Actually, the walk to the castle through the old residential part of Savonlinna was quite interesting. The castle visit was "typical" - not too much new to see. But it is a "must" if you visit the town.
  • Great. Knowledgeable guide was good at all four languages we tried. Everything else was great too.
