SantaPark, Rovaniemi

3.4
#3 of 22 in Theme Parks in Finland
Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
Your family can see Santa in action at SantaPark, a Christmas theme park inside cheerful underground taverns. See the elf show, visit santa's workshop, or follow your nose to the gingerbread bakery. The park features activities and entertainment for children, as well as adults who are young at heart. Get in the holiday spirit by taking a ride on Santa's sleigh or make your own crafty creation at the elf workshop. You can also participate in elf and calligraphy classes, among other activities. Stop by the cafe or buy Christmas gifts at the on-site shop. Put SantaPark into our Rovaniemi vacation builder and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • We went in August without offspring we paid 17.50 euros per person. Not worth it because it is a place for kids with 4/5 attractions (create cookies, write letters, help the Gnomes). So if you have kids ok otherwise no revenue.

  • Funny to have seen. A bit expensive. 50 euros for 2 adults and 1 child. The Elves are fully in their role best apart all. Show with acrobats was fun the so called ' Elves ' school was horrible!! The nice set up but in the end you're pretty fast through it.

  • Yes, it is hidden, really. Not easy to find, and the road up to the park is not really giving the impression of an operational place. But, what a surprise we got when we came there. Starting with the ...  more »

  • Quiet during the summer so we practically had the place to ourselves, the elves are super friendly and since Santa does so much traveling he has some great tips
  • Take bus number 8 from the city centre to here for around 7€ return. It's free entry & there are different things to see. We were lucky that everyone seemed to be lining up for a ride so the line to seeing Santa was empty. I really loved it because you go into a room where it's just you and Santa so you have no one looking in and you can have a good chat. There is a camera set up so you can purchase photos but you can take your own photos too. The photos are pricey but that's to be expected.
  • It's a nice place to visit. Everything looks good and organized. And there is a fun show and a cute ride. The price entrance is expensive for what you get. And then everything you can buy inside is expensive also. But it's a fun visit.
  • The place looks lively but it's extremely expensive to pay 33€ per adult (27€/ child) to enter the cave and then pay for everything but the tour and a small children area with one slide and a couple of games. If I'd known I wouldn't have paid the fee to get in
  • Walking, bike riding, dive deeply into real Magic - if it is needed - everything is here )))!!!

Where to stay in Rovaniemi

For a city just below the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi offers a surprisingly wide range of accommodations. While most of the major hotels and guesthouses cluster in the city center, you'll find more rustic charm by traversing one of the city bridges and looking for a place to stay in the more residential areas. You'll find that the surroundings change drastically, with lots of trees and greenery interspersed between homes. There are also a few scattered bed and breakfasts, which offer a more authentic experience than you might get in a larger hotel chain.
