SantaPark, Rovaniemi

3.4
Your family can see Santa in action at SantaPark, a Christmas theme park inside cheerful underground taverns. See the elf show, visit santa's workshop, or follow your nose to the gingerbread bakery. The park features activities and entertainment for children, as well as adults who are young at heart. Get in the holiday spirit by taking a ride on Santa's sleigh or make your own crafty creation at the elf workshop. You can also participate in elf and calligraphy classes, among other activities. Stop by the cafe or buy Christmas gifts at the on-site shop. Put SantaPark on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Rovaniemi road trip planner .

Also this must in Rovaniemi and given the cost affordable compared to the rest of the area's attractions, we succumbed. Certainly it is a paradise for children, adults and no children I think it's a stage that you can avoid, unless you're Santa's timeless fan. Within the show and workshop with elves, cute is the journey by train, the ice bar and patisserie. Then you pay for everything, for a change, even if you want to write to Santa Claus and of course to get the picture. In short, a little disappointing but still glad I went.

Before you visit the Park you should inform himself about the opening hours on the Internet and the tickets are cheaper online. For me, a dream to meet Santa Claus I'm was raised it with the Christmas tradition. You must put his Christmas request letter in the box and then take a photo, infants could release their pacifier there. Then there are still various workshops have mega fun we all did made you must engage in this thing and be a little child. In the bakery, there are good Glöggi (mulled wine). The Elves are all extremely friendly and makes it einfavh good mood. The Christmas train by a fairy tale land could one nicer figures ok otherwise. The ice Gallery is not open also an ice wsr bar but this day. Nicely done, I find the shows. I think if it is already there, you should visit the Park. I think the post office great there you can his sweetheart on Christmas already a card pre-order. I come back either in the winter or when I have children of his own. It was a great day.

We went in August without offspring we paid 17.50 euros per person. Not worth it because it is a place for kids with 4/5 attractions (create cookies, write letters, help the Gnomes). So if you have kids ok otherwise no revenue.

Quiet during the summer so we practically had the place to ourselves, the elves are super friendly and since Santa does so much traveling he has some great tips

Take bus number 8 from the city centre to here for around 7€ return. It's free entry & there are different things to see. We were lucky that everyone seemed to be lining up for a ride so the line to seeing Santa was empty. I really loved it because you go into a room where it's just you and Santa so you have no one looking in and you can have a good chat. There is a camera set up so you can purchase photos but you can take your own photos too. The photos are pricey but that's to be expected.

It's a nice place to visit. Everything looks good and organized. And there is a fun show and a cute ride. The price entrance is expensive for what you get. And then everything you can buy inside is expensive also. But it's a fun visit.

The place looks lively but it's extremely expensive to pay 33€ per adult (27€/ child) to enter the cave and then pay for everything but the tour and a small children area with one slide and a couple of games. If I'd known I wouldn't have paid the fee to get in

Where to stay in Rovaniemi

For a city just below the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi offers a surprisingly wide range of accommodations. While most of the major hotels and guesthouses cluster in the city center, you'll find more rustic charm by traversing one of the city bridges and looking for a place to stay in the more residential areas. You'll find that the surroundings change drastically, with lots of trees and greenery interspersed between homes. There are also a few scattered bed and breakfasts, which offer a more authentic experience than you might get in a larger hotel chain.
