  • We have been to this resort the first week of April, we stayed in one of the many wooden houses surrounded by snow and with their Christmas tree with tiny lights that illuminate at night; the rooms are clean and attention to detail, there's also a hob with everything you need and a microwave; the bathroom is very spacious and equipped with a sauna. For lunch there are various restaurants in the village open until 17, closing time of all attractions, advice on Santa's Salmon Place where in a tent (typical Sámi) you eat grilled salmon (buonissimooooo!) on wooden plaques that then the owner leaves a present at the end of the meal. For dinner you can organize in the village main restaurant where you can eat reindeer meat; the place is very cute and has a space for children. Concerning the residence of Santa Claus is cute, very well organized, Santa Claus sits imposingly in his chair surrounded by Elves; very nice is also the post office where you can buy and write postcards that then you can send in a surreal atmosphere. Very particular walk in the snow on a reindeer sleigh and covered with skins. Near Santa's House is the line of the Arctic Circle, after having crossed you go to the information desk to purchase the certificate (costs $4.50). Have to book before the end of March because many attractions close 31 03 and then open up in winter.

  • The place is very nice, with Christmas lights all around, a lot of gift shops, a nice trip to meet santa, snowmobile teams, huskies , etc. The santa's visit can be watched over the internet.  more »

  • tourist trap... although the layout of the village is pretty nice, and santa claus is here! other than that, you are better off NOT buying anything. other than the Main Post office which is pretty nice and get to have stamps issued from santa claus village. and near christmas time they do have an exclusive stamp inked on postcards!
  • Great atmosphere and lots of stores with different presents that you can buy and bring home. We were there in the offseason so it was quite empty and not many people were around.
  • Peacefull place to take a evening stroll. Lots of brand stores and services open. At the Post Office there's nice collection of the letter around the globe which are addressed to Santa himself.
  • Cute village, lots of souvenirs shops. However a bit overpriced sometimes. Better to see it during snow time
  • OK place to spend a couple of hours on. But after that you've seen and done almost everything unless you spend a lot of money on dog and reideer sledrides and similar. Othewise it's mostly a huge souvenier shop.
