Just drive you car to the hiking center beside the road and the hiking trail begins there. It's easy to hike to the top. The steepest side has stairs. Lovely view all the way to the top.

It's quite a long hike but well worth it. The view from the top is amazing. You can see the Swedish and Norwegian mountains.
Hard walk up and tough on the knees but worth it. Watch out for the mosquitoes during summer

Miguel SorianoAt the beginning there are loads of stairs. and when you think that they have already finished start the ascent to the mountain of truth. Still worthwhile to get up above. You can see Finland, Norway and Sweden at a time from the top.View original
Eerik LehtoSaana is a staggering views, perhaps the most beautiful what in Finland can be seen. Climbing to the top is a bit of a chore, but definitely worth it. The path to the Saana leaves Lake Kilpisjärvi hiking Centre. The top boarded for about 4 km along the route, on the way is the longest staircase (over 700 steps), followed by the path to the top of the lead. The terrain is easy to negotiate, but a long ascent and descent are demanding a reasonable basic fitness. Is not suitable for disabled guests. On the weather can change quickly, so it's a good idea to be prepared for it, and to move within the limits of their own abilities and powers.View original
