Leivonmäki National Park (Finnish: Leivonmäen kansallispuisto) is a national park in Central Finland. It was established in 2003 and covers 29 square kilometres (11 sq mi).

Typical scenery consists of swamps, shores of a medium-sized lake Rutajärvi and esker forests.

    What a beautiful place. We did the Koskikara trip, which took us about an hour in a stunning landscape. Parking was available in a school yard right next to the start. Highly recommended  more »

    We went for a dayhike. Visited in the Lintuniemi and Joutsniemi places. Joutsniemi will have a lavvu and woodshed soon. Seems that mainenance works well, there was new wood waiting. Great views and.....  more »

    Beautiful swamp nature. Peaceful walking routes, not so many people visiting here. Easy to reach by car.  more »

    Great easy hike. I took the red square more advanced route, but that simply meant that it was just a bit longer (I think around 3 miles) and it had a bit steeper ups and downs (not that much really). I like how in Finland they have those stops where you will find a spot to build a fire, wood, etc. For this reason, it is great to bring some Finnish sausages, mustard, coffee, juice, fire starters, napkins, lighter or matches, with you so you can half a lunch halfway through the hike. It was a lot of fun and we weren't the only ones doing this.

    Very nice nature, but paths were too easy for my taste. Still... Being in the national park is the most incredible way to spend a day.

    Clean waters, dog friendly, many parking slots, clean paths, nice outdoor cooking places, many km to hike.
