Imatra Waterfall, Imatra

4.3
#1 of 105 in Nature in Finland
Must see · Waterfall · Nature / Park
View the power of water at Imatra Waterfall, used for hydroelectricity since 1929. These rapids once were turned on year-round, but now they operate seasonally to harness the water's force. Though war and industrialization have worn away at the city and its attractions, the falls are still an impressive sight.
