  • I seems incredible that were 4 days to see it by inside and always was closed, in addition that hung a poster of "today day 8, closed" that it should place the night previous. We came back the next day and another "today day 9, closed" sign that was not since the previous day. On Saturday that already seemed everything normal, another sign "Open from 12 to 15" which we could not see that we left... by was amazing, I already see it inside Internet...

  • There so many people wrote reviews a variety of Church .... on the fact of a beautiful temple on a hill, it offers a cool view of the part of the city and of the sea! If you sailed on the viking line, with the vessel you 2 minutes to temple. Since it's on a Hill-you need to climb to the top. Inside is nothing special. All standard nicely, as in many temples. In the morning and afternoon in the spring, summer and autumn-full of tourists. Just the crowd, especially Chinese! At this time everything inside the fence, go-potolkalsja and retired. All prutsja in a narrow door, and those who are included and those who leave. On site too all the crowd. If you want to visit the temple-normally come during the evening hours or hours of service. Unlike churches in Russia, no one here you won't be yelling into the ear and does not try to shame, if you login without a hat (for girls) and Cap (for men). Day is a tourist attraction! It seemed as if in general the Church here stands for beauty and not so many people attach great importance to it, except that the Orthodox tourists from Russia and some local. Inside is pretty dark, light enters through the high Windows. Sad that so few objects in Helsinki that have access to the Russian Orthodox Church .... Even sadder is that this place is a must for tourists object.

  • Uspenski Cathedral is the largest Orthodox Cathedral in Northern Europe. Dominates the Centre of Helsinki. A short flight of steps leads to the entrance of the Church that unfortunately we found closed despite we were within hours of openings (from 12:30 to 13:30). A real shame.

  • The cathedral is not only immaculate in its own right but it also offers spectacular views of the surrounding city. I highly suggest and early morning visit to watch the sunrise and observe how sheets of pink and baby blue, blanket the city. Autumn is a great time of year as the trees create a natural frame of red, green and yellow around the city landscape
  • As one of the main tourists attraction in Helsinki, this beautiful cathedral sits on top of a hill looking down on market square. Not only is it beautiful on the outside but it's also beautiful on the inside. Fun fact, two religious artifacts were stolen in broad day light one being recovered and another one still not found.
  • one of the most amazing cathedrals I have ever seen; there was a wedding when we got there but we managed to get inside and see it. the outside is amazing!
  • Nice orthodox cathedral. You can't miss it while in Helsinki as it is on top of a hill. From there you can get a nice view on the center.
  • Nice and quiet, very limited access to some icons for prayer or to see in better detail. Nice view of the city from the top.
