  • Very nice outside. Inside is not entered, around rocky surroundings. There is apparently a ventilation shaft, you can warm up on a cold day

  • A bridge links the city with the Katajanokka island where stands on a base of rock Uspenskin Tuomiokirkko, a church built between 1862 and 1868 by the Russian architect Alexei M. Gornostajev. It is Western Europe's largest Orthodox Church. Stands out for its brick red and Golden domes. Being in a high place, it is an excellent site to get panoramic views of the city.

  • Impressive architecture, on top of a hill (a lot of steps to climb). Near the port where you have to Suomelina. Has point of tram near the Cathedral. Worth the trip and the view of the city is beautiful.

  • The cathedral is not only immaculate in its own right but it also offers spectacular views of the surrounding city. I highly suggest and early morning visit to watch the sunrise and observe how sheets of pink and baby blue, blanket the city. Autumn is a great time of year as the trees create a natural frame of red, green and yellow around the city landscape
  • As one of the main tourists attraction in Helsinki, this beautiful cathedral sits on top of a hill looking down on market square. Not only is it beautiful on the outside but it's also beautiful on the inside. Fun fact, two religious artifacts were stolen in broad day light one being recovered and another one still not found.
  • one of the most amazing cathedrals I have ever seen; there was a wedding when we got there but we managed to get inside and see it. the outside is amazing!
  • Nice orthodox cathedral. You can't miss it while in Helsinki as it is on top of a hill. From there you can get a nice view on the center.
  • Nice and quiet, very limited access to some icons for prayer or to see in better detail. Nice view of the city from the top.
