SEA LIFE Helsinki, Helsinki

3.7
#4 of 10 in Zoos & Aquariums in Finland
Featuring more than 100 species and 1,500 marine animals, SEA LIFE Helsinki feeds the fish every hour. A large octopus is the main event; try to coordinate your visit to watch a feeding of this animal. Because the attraction is small, you'll have time to explore the ocean tunnel and touch tank, where you can get up close to a crab or sea urchin. The attraction is located just beneath the Linnanmäki amusement park; to get there walk up the stairs to the main ticket desk then back down to the aquarium.  Plan to visit SEA LIFE Helsinki during your Helsinki vacation using our convenient Helsinki day trip site .

  • Walked with a child nine years of age. Baby, of course, was interesting. Since the Aquarium is designed for all children. There are a few interesting finds, aquariums, where around the child's head swim or fish farm where grown pups and rays. Walked in Saturday, there were a lot of people, people milled about and interfered with the look of fish Cool shop with thematic soft toys and trinkets. Price per adult ticket (without visiting the theme park), 16.50, child-13 euros. I do not think that price corresponds to quality.

  • Great place to visit. Kids love it, parents as well. A good variety of different sea animals.
  • The exhibits are nicely maintained and there was a good variety of different fishes!
  • Your basic aquarium type of attraction. No huge fishes here but lots of exotic and strange creatures not found at your neighbourhood pond. Kids and grown ups like it. A bit hard to navigate if you're with strollers or the like but has elevators going in and out of the exhibit. Entry prizes also pretty high but at least to my knowledge a part of that money is going to sea conservation and other enviromental efforts so no problem there. Open in winter when the amusement park is closed.
  • The experience was amazing. It's better than some of the aquariums that we have in the states.
  • Very good experience, shark feeding was fun

Where to stay in Helsinki

Set yourself up with easy access to many of Helsinki's most popular tourist sites by staying in the city's bustling and modern center. You'll find that the area is packed full of shops, restaurants, and bars, plus it's conveniently close to both the city's main train station and energetic waterfront. Though there's certainly a range of options when it comes to big-name hotel chains and upscale accommodation, prices are generally higher throughout most of the center, so consider staying at a hostel to cut down on costs. Hostels typically offer a solid location in or near the city center at a fraction of the cost of a big chain.
