  • Now it is more of a place for tourists and residents of the city or on the waterfront in comfort. There are a small number of stalls with dealers, but it seemed to me, is more of a tribute to tradition.

  • This used to be a real market hall but the latest renovation killed it as a real market hall. Now it has many restaurants and stalls that sell food and sandwiches. I ususally come her by boat to get s...  more »
  • Market hall can be found in the comfortable Café-restaurants as an alternative to the hotel aamiaisille. Shops you can dip your preferred also easily available, or you can enjoy them while walking. The market hall atmosphere has always been inspiring and that's why I visit there, almost without exception, when I came to Helsinki. Market Hall has quite definitely something for everyone and is vieranlun.

  • Great place for breakfast. Come before it's busy and get a window seat overlooking the harbour. Free flow urn coffee or espresso coffee available. Great pancakes. Some staff were lovely, others a little cool but all nice enough. I had breakfast here all 3 days in Helsinki due to it being right next to my accommodation.
  • Café or restaurant? I'd say both - serving good breakfast, lunch (mainly fish) and dinner. Great location in the old food hall and friendly service.
  • Really nice restaurantish place in the historic food hall. It also has a great view of the harbor. I tried the salmon soup which was great and i have been told that it is really Finnish.
  • Friendly service and a lovely cup of tea and a fabulous hot chocolate in a traditional Finnish ambience.
  • Amazing food and the prices suit the quality.
