  • Information on Finland's participation in the wars of the twentieth century, which of course we know quite a bit. You can read in Russian, sorry that the audio only in Finnish. A bit expensive in my opinion, but informative and generally gangbusters

  • Despite being a small museum it contains a wealth of information about the military history of Finland. This information was in chronological order which was extremely useful. The museum had a wide va...  more »
  • In krasnokirpičnom building housed the barracks, Military Academy and now is a military museum. In general I wonder (entrance on the Helsinki Card free) inside-exhibition devoted to the history of warfare and weaponry since 17 century. Quite a large part of the Museum is devoted to the Winter War 1939-1940 Gg., what we actually came here, learn more about the events about which we know little.

  • Well-done and informative exhibition on Finnish armed forces from the 1800th century to the present time.
  • A surprisingly nice museum, that gives an overview of the military history of Finland: the Swedish period -1809, the Russian Empire period 1809-1917 and the independent period with the Winter War (1939-1940) and the Continuation War (1941-1944). We spent ca 2 h here when we visited it.
  • Put on freedom square, was a tank-car number. By using snow and tank children create slides and playing, I feel the peace. Tank is a tank 3.

  • A great Museum, very many interesting exhibits. Especially liked the hopper model with sounds. The staff speaks English, all signatures in the Museum are duplicated in both Russian and English.

  • A good Museum of the winter war. A lot of interactivity. Good scenery of shelters, trenches, weapon emplacements. Sorry, info in Russian No. Be sure to visit all the people interested in history of the second world
