Savor a moment of quiet reflection or prayer inside the contemporary Kamppi Chapel of Silence. While it seems to contradict its surroundings, this site is nicknamed the "Chapel of Silence." Built on one of the busiest streets in Helsinki, the chapel provides a calming atmosphere inside a tranquil space positioned in an otherwise hectic area. Step inside the chapel, which welcomes people of all faiths. Examine the contemporary architecture, designed as a part of the World Design Capital program of 2012 by Kimmo Lintula, Niko Sirola, and Mikko Summanen. This was bizarre but extremely uplifting. We were on holiday so already relaxed but I feel every city should have one of these these as the world and modern day pressures can be stressful. more »

Very unique! It's very small and hard to find but worth looking for. It's amazing how it was built and it looks brand new. We were the only ones inside and we were able to enjoy the quite. A very beautiful chapel that should be in your itinerary if you are in Helsinki.

Lovely place to visit if you need some time away to reflect. I recommend going during off peak hours. Simple and beautiful design.

Very quite and serene place, I went inside to avoid getting freezed as it was very cold outside. But it was so warm, cozy and peaceful that I slept while sitting on chairs. You can actually take a book there and read, prayer or take a nap for a while 🙂

Probably the most beautiful small reflection place in the world. Easy to access, open all year round, the beautiful minimalist design, fresh, clean, unassuming, respectful, and with a great location in Helsinki downtown. The best part is that they do not allow pictures. You have to be there to feel the tranquility and reset your mind

It was smaller than I envisaged and I was not blown away by the insides. It would have been a better experience if people remembered to close the door so the silence can truly be experienced. Having said that, it was great to find a place where I could soak up a tiny bit of silence during my manic day. It is worth a visit too.
