Kamppi Chapel of Silence, Helsinki

Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web
Savor a moment of quiet reflection or prayer inside the contemporary Kamppi Chapel of Silence. While it seems to contradict its surroundings, this site is nicknamed the "Chapel of Silence." Built on one of the busiest streets in Helsinki, the chapel provides a calming atmosphere inside a tranquil space positioned in an otherwise hectic area. Step inside the chapel, which welcomes people of all faiths. Examine the contemporary architecture, designed as a part of the World Design Capital program of 2012 by Kimmo Lintula, Niko Sirola, and Mikko Summanen. • You can go for a few minutes to sit in silence, relax. Maybe we had some luck, usually on a weekday was nobody except us. Is close to a large shopping centre of Campi.

  • Used to visit this place almost all weekends during my finland visit (Since one pub is also in Kamppi) .. you will get lot of options for shopping and you can also find angry bird store ...
  • Looks like a huge Ark. Interior is rather narrow, but towards the ceiling from the prosperous, the ceiling makes light, so if not a sense of frustration. Rind and a curved green aura. Rock Church wooden church (Chapel) nor darkness are far from gloomy.
