  • Lured me to the Atheneum Modigliani. Got incomparable pleasure! Information in Swedish, Finnish and English (thanks!). And even lucky enough to get on a tour in the Russian language, and free! Very interesting telling Uncle-Finn, inserting between Russian decent pieces in English (and again-thank you!), because almost everyone understood English. Learned a lot. 15 euros per entry-fails miserably. Ticket-sticker with a fragment of a painting by Modigliani))). Glue on clothes or on his hand, and go!

  • This is the place to sample Finnish art -- which is what one should do as an art-loving tourist. To be honest, what mainly transpires is how Finnish artists in the 19th and 20th century have tried to ...  more »
  • Have been at the Museum for the second time. Beautiful collection. It is remarkable that got to the exhibition of Modigliani. A private collection of the Museum presents paintings of mostly Finnish and Scandinavian masters, there are several paintings of European and Russian masters. Very recommend.

  • The best place to head to get a basic course on Finnish art from the nationalism period (19th century) to now. The museum isn't huge but should take at least an hour or two to go through depending on how many exhibitions are currently open. I am very fond of the new permanent collection and they also have a great selection of items available in the gift shop and a nice cafe on site on the ground floor.
  • Nice museum if you want to spend some time when outside it's rainy.
  • A lovely old building stuffed full of beautiful old art.
  • The best place to visit if you have only couple of hours in Helsinki. Amazing collection of classic works. Their temporary expositions always give new prospective of art and painting. Thank you for inspiration!
  • A really fascinating art gallery with a big collection of Finnish painting and arts and visiting international famous art galleries
