Akraberg Lighthouse, Suduroy

Lighthouse · Tourist Spot
More than one hundred years old, the well-kept Akraberg Lighthouse spreads the light of its two light bulbs thanks to its Fresnel lens. Thick green grass carpets the way to the lighthouse; watch for birds' nests, as many different bird species live here and some nest on the ground. You may share your exploration with intrepid sheep grazing around. Stand atop the perpendicular cliffs for an uninterrupted view of the North Atlantic Ocean. Ask for a guide who can take you up to the top of the lighthouse. Make Akraberg Lighthouse part of your personalized Suduroy itinerary using our Suduroy trip planning site.
