  • Didn't come here just for the church but is is beautiful..quiet little village well out of the way. Great walks and fantastic views all round and great for pictures..  more »
  • Take the road for Saksun, a single lane road (Luckily the Faroese are intelligent and every few meters put a pitch where you can pull over to let the vehicles coming from the opposite direction) along a river, sheep everywhere ... seems like an endless road and instead we get to the end where we find the Church, the waterfall and the Lake. Fantastic landscape, we stopped to eat a sandwich with waterfall view, when ricapitava an opportunity like this?! There are also commercial toilets, clean and well maintained, but freezing!

  • I went out there with the car from the road. The road itself was very nice, because you pass runs between the mountains, and there is a feeling by many streams, it would flow everywhere ;) The place is really very manageable, but the Church and the landscape so very cute! Highly recommended if you want to learn a certain silence. When I was there, nobody was else there, no people, no cars etc. except me. But respect for the sheep, they are very trusting been :)
