  • It is difficult to find place in the boat that carries Mikines from Sørvágur in August, there are only two a day, the pot is not very big but filled it to the brim and if bad weather does not get. Mikines Island only reached by this boat or helicopter. We had a great luck, the boat was filled up to the third day, but as he had so many people put uon's exceptional! Arrival to Mikines is impressive, port is what looks like a cave, the noise of the birds put goose bumps. A rise with steep slopes and stairs leading to the top of the island, from where you take the walk up to the lighthouse, with ups and downs of steep slopes, incredible, freilecillos landscape that you can almost touch them. The road is difficult in some spots, mostly downhill, we must take great care. An elderly lady fell and broke or luxó any part of the leg, but in less than half an hour a helicopter the skidding in the Middle earring, impressive. The arrival at the Lighthouse is once more indescribable. The journey by boat a wonder, because not browse directly, but it is giving you a small turn to admire the cliffs and waterfalls.

  • Another great place to the Faroe Islands. Mykines island itself is already beautiful, thanks to the countless birds (dead ends). By the way on the other islands I have not seen them. To reach the lighthouse must be ready to descents and lifting on the slopes (sometimes satisfied steep-about 45 degrees), but the kind of stunning.
