St. Mary s Catholic Church, Stanley
(4.3/5 based on 30 reviews on the web)
Located near the center of Stanley, St. Mary s Catholic Church remains the only Catholic place of worship on the Falkland Islands. Built in 1899, the structure represents a classic example of Victorian kit building. The modest walls enclose a wooden interior where light pierces stained glass to create a peaceful atmosphere. Take a look at the west wall, featuring a "pictorial history" of the Church in this part of the world. You can also climb to the second floor for a view of the altar and pews below. With our international travel planner, Stanley attractions like St. Mary s Catholic Church can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • A very small Catholic Church. Mary. Unusual structure, with a stunning ceiling light location due to Windows with stained glass Windows, paintings on religious themes. Cozy.

  • It is the Catholic Church in Port Stanley. Historical, well-preserved, and shows the tradition of the Catholic faith in a part of the world. It is worth visiting it.
