  • Museum has three floors (actually four, but the first floor is empty now). And it isn't a big exposition. Archeological and paleoanthropological sections on the ground floor are not bad. But it...  more »
  • The (dark) basement historical section is clearly the main attraction with Lucy being the most important sight. We found the exposition very interesting, but could use an upgrade. The other floors...  more »
  • The museum has very good exhibits but it is not maintained at all. With a little bit of investment, this can become a very good attraction to visit.  more »
  • Small museum but has a couple of must see items. It's also very cheap to visit so if you have an hour and are in Addis Ababa you should check this place out. Be sure to see the famous Lucy skeleton in basement
  • Some great paintings and photos from history. Exciting building externally, but may need a bit of an update internally
  • I and my best friend experienced this very good local restaurant. We meet a very nice waiter , his name? is Delege. Lucy restaurant's environment is nice. Every waiter is patient.
  • Home of the world famous "Lucy". Unfortunately very dark and with poor lighting so the pieces do not get the exposure they deserve... Unfortunately, it is so gloomy that the exhibition pieces cannot be viewed well. Thus much potential is given away. Even with polarizing filter, wide angle fixed focal length and post processing the pictures are still quite dark. A pity considering the significance of the exhibits.
  • Home to the oldest dicovered Hominid Specie, Lucy, dated to about 3.2 million years ago. The 4-level museum also houses primitive tools and ancient artifacts relevant to Ethiopia. It's worth a visit while in Addis Ababa. Entrance fee is 10 birr as of posting time.
